Rugby Ball Raises £500 for Charity

30 May 2014

World leading automotive design company Futura Design is on course to top last year's £10,000 donation to Birmingham Children's hospital thanks to the generosity of Leicester Tigers Rugby Club and the power of the internet.

Futura's Managing Director Paul Cadman said 'The boys at Leicester Tigers were kind enough to donate a Leicester Legends Rugby Ball for our annual Charity Auction. When people found out about the item it was obvious that it had the potential to raise a real chunk of money for the charity so we decided to use the power of eBay! We were amazed at the response and when the auction ended we'd had 17 bids and secured £500 for the ball'.

The signed Rubgy Ball forms just one of the items that Futura Group will be auctioning in the name of charity the others will be going under the gavel on Friday June 27th when the Group hosts a Charity Golf day at the world famous Forest of Arden course and resort.
