On 20th October, Futura Design’s Mark Welland is climbing Africa’s highest mountain – Kilimanjaro, in order to raise as much money as we possible for Meningitis & Septicaemia charity Georgie's Gift, in memory of 23 month old Georgie Hall, who was the daughter of one of Mark’s closest friends.
Mark, alongside 18 others have spent the past 6 months intensely training for the climb and hope to complete the challenge within 9 days. Mount Kilimanjaro, situated in the Northern part of Tanzania, which is 5,985M high and covers an area of 100 kilometers long and 65 kilometers wide.

ABOUT GEORGIES GIFT:
Georgie’s Gift Ltd was set up in memory of Georgie Hall. She was only 23 months when she fell ill in February 2015. Days later she passed away after being diagnosed with Meningitis and Septicaemia.
As parents Matt & Paula realised how little they knew about this horrible disease, and by setting up “Georgie’s Gift” aim to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of Meningitis and Septicaemia, as well as advising families to get the correct vaccinations.
Fundraising efforts have been incredible so far, and the lengths to which friends, family, and the local community have gone to develop and promote the charity has been overwhelming. There have been some brilliant events already, and with numerous in the pipeline for this year and beyond, we plan to continue to raise as much money as possible to help those in need get some much needed support from Georgie’s Gifts. www.georgiesgift.org
